The Music in the Gardens event is coming to Sheffield this summer with an 80s inspired line up.
The three-day outdoor event will feature the famous girl band Bananarama and the Abba-inspired Bjorn Again. It will be held among the 19 verdant acres of the Sheffield Botanical Gardens.
Promoters of major events can advertise with the aid of leaflets and poster printing services to draw the crowds in.
Guinness World Record holders Bananarama will take to the stage on the Friday, with the most successful girl group celebrating its 36 year anniversary. Bjorn Again will perform on the second night. Both bands will feature support acts to get the audience ready for the main entertainment. Sunday will see a change of format, with music from the movies played by the Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra and the Unite the Union brass band followed by a fireworks display.
Referred to by organisers as “a music festival for those people who do not fancy the idea of attending a music festival”, the recently restored Botanical Gardens will offer those attending a tranquil setting to enjoy a weekend of music. Food and drink will be in ample supply from top quality stalls selling hot cuisine to real ale pints from Bradfield Brewery.
Music in the Gardens will be held from Friday July 5 to Sunday July 7.
