Joseph Shapton and Louise Emma Davey, ages 34 and 33 respectively, both hail from Welwyn Garden City, not far from Potters Bar. The pair have decided to hold the post-wedding breakfast at the fast food outlet, which is located within the Galleria Shopping Centre.
This will be no ordinary McDonald’s meal however, with the outlet having made a commitment to ensuring a special day for the duo and the 30 invited guests. It has agreed to shut off half of the interior, specifically for use by the party, as well as supplying suitably themed decorations at no charge.
Speaking to a reporter from the Welwyn Hatfield Times, Louise stated that:
“I saw that other people have had their weddings in McDonald’s and it inspired me because it was different and we just love McDonald’s. It’s something quirky. I like to be different; I’m not a very traditional person.”
She went on to add that she has already made her meal choice for the day, but that her husband-to-be would be waiting until the day itself to make a pick.
When it comes to occasions like this one, on June 4, local printers supplying wedding Invitations often prove useful.
