The Potters-bar based club secured medals at a qualifying event in a national competition. Zenith trains at the Furzefield Leisure Centre and 15 of its gymnasts participated in the qualifying round. One upshot of the effort is that some of the youngsters can look forward with confidence to a contest in February. Letterheads can be used by organisations to help showcase successes.
The gymnasts are a mix of children and teenagers. Zenith supports young people to engage in trampolining, whether or not they want to compete. However, the prospect of participating in the National Development Pathway Finals is an exciting one for all at the club. The competition’s regional finals will take place in March.
An attempt has been made by the club to build the capacities of its coaches. Carrie Ann-Williamson, the head coach, told the Welwyn Hatfield Times:
“I’m so proud of the level of maturity these kids showed. They are a pleasure to work with.”
A total of 11 of the team had never taken part in a competition prior to the event. Nonetheless, the lack of experience did not appear to hold them back. A haul of 10 medals was obtained, including four golds. Oz Hammerman, Eloise West, Caitlin Ayres and Zak Demetrides completed two routines each and triumphed in their specific categories.Get a Free Quote for Letterheads
