An Antiques and Vintage Fair organised by Madison Events is due to be held in the town early in November.
There will be a wide variety of antique and vintage items on display. This includes 55 stalls located in two halls, offering wares that encompass everything from decorative antiques, china, ephemera, Books and art, mid-20th Century homeware, glass and kitchenalia.
The jewellery is a particular highlight, from high-value enamel and silver, inclusive of costume and classic jewellery to vintage and traditional accessories. Television programmes such as the long-running Antiques Roadshow have done much to stimulate and sustain the public’s interest as well as increase their knowledge.
There is much for both the avid collect and or just the car boot sale devotee to see and ponder. It is expected to be an informative and entertaining way of passing the time at a place where past and present meet. Poster printing is often used by organisers of events like this to raise awareness amongst the public.
There is an entrance fee of £2 for adults, and entry is free for children under 16 and in the company of an adult. There is also a cafe on-site and the train station is just five minutes on foot.
