A manager forum has been organised by Hertfordshire Care Providers Association and will be held in Potters Bar later this month.
The session is designed for care managers, training co-ordinators and HR staff. It provides an opportunity for those interested to establish working relationships with other local organisations in order to enhance individual continuing professional development (CPD).
A representative from Herts Care Academy will be present to give advice on how to enrol staff in the Herts Care Professional Standards Academy.
These forums facilitate CPD by utilising the Skills for Care Leadership Quality Framework in fields such as dementia, elderly care, learning disability and autism and in a variety of settings including residential, homecare and hospice environments.
Participants can then discuss local and mutual challenges, identify solutions through co-operation, contact subject specialists, gather evidence as to support best CPD practice, examine units and analyse evidence acquisition for CPD, as well as explore reflective practice and the best way to support CPD.
This is a fully-funded session but attendees must register at least 15 minutes in advance and two other Manager Forums are to be held later in the year. Brochure printing can be useful in the build-up to events such as these as organisers can collate the relevant learning materials.
The Manager Forum will take place between 1pm and 3pm on Tuesday 27th August at Maple House in Potters Bar.
