The internationally recognised tribute band ABBA Forever, presented by Julia and Peter Sweeney, is on tour and has pencilled in a concert date for Potters Bar at the end of November.
This six-piece group has performed to theatre audiences throughout the UK and in Europe, including a sixth successful sell-out tour of Sweden. Electric, acoustic and bass guitars, keyboards and drums all feature with the distinctive ABBA sound being recreated thanks to a considerable focus on detail.
The music and lyrics of Benny and Bjorn are delivered in close harmony by the artists on stage, with the two girls adding glamour to an energetic and often light-hearted performance. They cover practically every popular ABBA song from the back catalogue, encompassing ‘Waterloo’ right through to ‘Super Trouper’, and all at a comfortable pace.
This is combined with professional choreography, quality visuals and replica costumes. The authentic lighting serves to enhance the presentation of the musicianship in the all-live performance. The show takes its audience, whether composed of dedicated ABBA fans or the merely curious, on a nostalgic journey back in time to the 1970s.
