The tribute act Promises and Lies - The UB40 Years is on tour, and will be arriving in Potters Bar for a unique performance at the end of May.
Promises and Lies is a leading international stage show that celebrates the original hits and music of the band widely recognised as 'The Kings of Reggae’. Indeed, UB40, with their popular frontman Ali Campbell, have achieved over 100 million disc sales.
Andy Bagnall takes on the role of Ali Campbell, supported by a group of specially selected and talented professional musicians. It represents an opportunity to once again revisit an era and to listen to UB40’s distinctive sound.
The band has quite an extensive and famous back catalogue. Promises and Lies are sure to rely on many well-known tracks such as ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘One In Ten’, ‘Many Rivers To Cross’, ‘Kingstone Town’ and ‘I Got You Babe’ as part of their performance.
The show should appeal to a broad audience, ranging from those who are dedicated fans to those eager to discover the music of UB40 for themselves.
