The Wild Woods Festival, presented by Playfully Astute Ltd, is due to be held in Potters Bar at the beginning of June.
This is a relaxed event for individuals who don't normally attend literally festivals. Those participating include comics, gamers, poets, theatrical artists, musicians and storytellers. There will be plenty to see and do from science presentations and performances to panels and workshops as well as talks by authors.
The literary line-up notably includes the crime writer Sophie Hannah; the successful children’s author Annabelle Sami; Vaseem Khan, of Baby Ganesh's fame and the non-fiction author Daniel Smith. Comedy Women in Print award winner, Kirsty Eyre, and Upstart Theatre will also be present.
It is for people of any age, with an inter-generational programme, a special kids tent and a Saturday night silent disco, not to mention BSL interpreters. There will be camping facilities available and hot street food from onsite vendors, including sustainable options.
A low impact gathering, the organiser intends to create 100 spaces for wildflowers. One that should appeal to all those with an interest in the written or spoken word.
Tickets range in price from no-fee entry to £120. Logo Design is important when it comes to publicising and branding a show or event.
The Wild Words Festival will take place between Friday 3rd June and Sunday 5th June at Colesdale Farm. Potters Bar.
