Potters Bar listed among top London commuter locations

Potters Bar recently found itself listed as one of the best places to live in the capital, for those who have to commute to and from work on a daily basis.

Property firm CBRE conducted the research to find out what the top 10 London areas are for commuters, based on yearly travel expense, average house prices and journey times.

The results indicated that average Potters Bar house prices are approximately £460,066, while the average time required for commutes into central London is 25 minutes, costing roughly £2,864 per year.

This placed the town in seventh position on the list and John Donne, councillor for Potters Bar Parkfield, told This is Local London that it wasn’t a surprise to him:

“I would have been surprised if they had said the opposite.

“It’s ideally situated as commuter land. It has excellent transport into London, and it has excellent schools of course. That’s why people want to move here. What else does a town need?”

He went on to add that he was sure the town would remain a popular and affordable location in upcoming years.

If the local council wishes to make more of this recognition, there are services like poster and banner printing in Potters Bar that will enable it to do so.

Among the other towns that won a place on the list were St Albans and Rickmansworth.
