Potters Bar is set for a tribute to the 'Big O'

The show, Barry Steele and Friends – The Roy Orbison Story, is due to give a performance in Potters Bar towards the end of January.

This cast of vocalists and musicians takes the audience on a trip down musical memory lane. It encompasses the early days from 'The Black and White Night' through to the revival of the Big O's career in the 1980s.

Roy Orbison took to the stage in 1963 at Slough's Adelphi theatre, and the rest is history. The list of hits includes such well-known tracks as Pretty Woman, Only the Lonely, Crying, and Running Scared. In 1988 he was a founder member of The Traveling Wilburys and during the performance, the entire cast unites to recreate the sound of this rock' n roll supergroup.

The London Philarmonic Orchestra pre-mastered Roy's classic songs in 2017 and Barry delivers his own versions of them. He himself went professional around 2004 and has toured New Zealand, Holland, the USA, Germany, Ireland, and Denmark including duetting with Bill Dees who co-wrote a host of Roy's songs.

Tickets cost £26, an all-inclusive price. Those producing a stage show should not underestimate the value of good Logo Design.
