Alan Fletcher, who plays Dr Karl Kennedy in 'Neighbours', is on tour with his show 'The Doctor Will See You Now'. It includes an appearance in Potters Bar at the beginning of July.
This actor, singer and photographer hails from Perth, Western Australia. He first developed an interest in acting whilst at school appearing in student productions, and turned professional upon leaving university.
Alan moved to Sydney, where his big television break came with an 18-month stint on Cop Shop, a Crawford Productions show. Later in the 1980s, he featured on US television's 'Love Boat' as Morgan Fairchild’s fiancé.
He then worked at the Melbourne Theatre Company for a period of three years. Guest spots on Australian dramas and comedy shows followed, as well as several series of ABC's radio comedy 'Don’t Get Off Ya Bike!'
In 1994 Alan was offered the role of Dr Kennedy in Neighbours. He has participated in pantos and musicals and also fronts the rock group Waiting Room, which has released two albums and toured the UK.
This show celebrates nearly 30 years of 'Neighbours' with video footage, live music and anecdotes.
