Playgroup in Potters Bar receives praise

St John’s Nursery Playgroup, located in Potters Bar, recently received positive feedback from Ofsted following an inspection.

The playgroup is based at Oakmere School on Chace Avenue. The team at St John’s learnt that Ofsted had rated them highly a few weeks after the inspection took place on November 18th 2018. Poster printing can be handy for organisations that want to showcase success.

Four criteria were used by the Ofsted inspectors. The measures concerned pupil outcomes, personal development, teaching quality and leadership effectiveness. Ofsted concluded that St John’s Nursery Playgroup was worthy of an outstanding rating. In the report, the inspectors enthused about exceptional teaching. It was felt that children have encountered inspirational staff.

Alyson Gnessen, the leader of the playgroup, told the Welwyn Hatfield Times:

“I am thrilled that we have achieved this grading. It is the culmination of a few years of hard work and having an amazing staff team who have a passion for working with children and love the children we work with.”

Gnessen pointed out that her playgroup does not simply focus on the needs of the children. This is because she believes in a holistic approach. The provision of assistance to families can enhance family life which can feed into superb outcomes for children. Gnessen expressed her personal gratitude to everyone who has made it possible for the playgroup to flourish.
