Hotel planned for Potters Bar

Travelodge aspires to develop a £7 million hotel within Potters Bar.

The site has yet to be finalised, nonetheless, Travelodge is clear that it wants to invest around £7 million in the project. Moreover, the organisation wants to build extensively on its existing presence in Hertfordshire. Stationery printers can be handy for businesses that want to expand.

Shakila Ahmed, a spokesperson for Travelodge, told the Welwyn Hatfield Times:

“This hotel opening marks our intention for further expansion across Hertfordshire as there is a desperate consumer need for more low cost and good quality accommodation across the region.”

Up to 200 new positions may be created across the county if all goes to plan. It is thought that a hotel in Potters Bar would employ between 15 and 20 workers.

It has not been decided whether or not a new construction will be required to make the Potters Bar project into a reality. This is because Travelodge has not ruled out the refurbishment of an old building.

A hotel has been opened by Travelodge in Welwyn Garden City recently. Its manager, Nnaemeka Eza, claimed that business has been brisk. The former receptionist is confident that the local economy will be improved by the attraction of visitors to the area. Research has highlighted how much tourists and business travellers can add to a local economy.
