Families in Oxford looking for summertime entertainment on stage, can now book tickets for an upcoming comedy. Presented by Barbican Theatre and Le Navet Bete, a pirate production called “Treasure Island” will be treading the boards at the Oxford Playhouse in July.
Theatres and playhouses presenting live performance like pantos, plays and musicals often contact experienced poster printing services to create attention-grabbing ads that encourage ticket sales.
The show will run at the Oxford theatre for two consecutive dates and promises tropical islands, despicable pirates and an unforgettable mermaid. Characters from Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel like Long John Silver and Jim Hawkins are refreshed with comedic twist and joined on the treasure hunt by a colourful cast.
The play has already earned applause and respect from theatregoers and critics alike. A reviewer at The Stage commented:
“A ripping good yarn with an abundance of theatrical surprises.”
Treasure Island will now be on stage at the Oxford Playhouse on Friday, July 4 and Saturday July 5. Tickets are available for £14, and the show is suited to audience members aged 10 and over. The performance is around two hours and 20 minutes long and includes an intermission. The venue is located on Beaumont Street in Oxford.
