Oxford will once again play host to the IF Oxford Science and Ideas Festival for 2019.
Festival events will be held for all ages and areas of interests throughout the city as well as areas further afield such as Cowley, Blackbird Leys and Littlemore. Lively debates and discussions, family-oriented performances and cabaret shows will welcome audiences who will also have the chance to take part in more hands-on activity over the two science packed-weekends of the festival.
Organisers of local festivals can use poster printing services to their advantage, advertising all the events taking place to the general public.
The Oxford Trust ran the first festival for science and technology back in January 1992, which took place at the Old Fire Station on George Street in a single day. Today the festival spans 11 days with a multitude of events taking place across the university city in a celebration of science.
The Oxford Trust still provides a strong foundation for the festival and has supported it by providing an Events Manager and Festival Director but the occasion is now operated by the Oxfordshire Science Festival charity.
The festival has now expanded beyond science and technology to include humanities and social sciences, joined by science career and education experts STEM.
The IF Oxford Science and Ideas Festival will be held from October 18 to October 28.
