Oxford to welcome a soulful musician

The singer/songwriter Billy Lockett is currently on tour and due to play a gig in Oxford at the beginning of May.

This solo artist originates from Northampton and was encouraged to consider music as a career by his late father. He is recognised for his soulful voice, guitar skills and keyboard abilities, citing Bon Iver, Chet Faker and the pop group Oh Wonder all as major influences.

Billy released his first EP ‘Burn It Down’ in 2016, which achieved over four million streams on the iTunes Charts for singer-songwriters. This led to him being playlisted on Radio 1 and then subsequently supporting Katy Tunstall, Birdy and Lana Del Ray on their respective tours.

He has toured with both The Electric Light Orchestra and Louis Capaldi, as well as embarking on his own sell-out tour. There have also been television performances on ‘Made in Chelsea’ and ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’.

Billy has released a total of nine EPs, including ‘Reset’, ‘My Only Soul’ and ‘Reflections’, as well as a self-released classical piano LP which charted and received airtime on Classic FM. His debut album is titled ‘Abington Grove’.

Tickets cost £13.20, inclusive of a transaction fee. Banner printing can be a useful resource when it comes to the promotion of a future concert or musical event.

Billy Lockett's gig has a starting time of 7pm on Wednesday, May 3 at The Bullingdon, Oxford.
