The TV travel presenter and author Simon Reeve is embarking on his 'To The Ends Of The Earth' tour and is due to make an appearance in Oxford in late October.
His distinctive brand of television documentaries, notably 'Equator' and 'Tropic of Cancer', have proven very successful amongst audiences. In these, he combines travel with adventure and includes a commentary on topics such as history, current affairs, culture and conservation.
These journeys have seen him visit over 130 countries, through jungles, across deserts, traversing mountains and experiencing oceans. He has witnessed many beautiful, remote and dangerous parts of the globe.
On this nationwide tour, Simon will recount countless stories, give his thoughts on many prevalent topics and, of course, make the live crowd laugh. He is keen to encourage people to leave their comfort zones and embrace the outdoors and the big world beyond.
There will be behind-the-camera footage, much of it containing impressive imagery, all with the aim of inspiring the audience and reminding them to embark upon more journeys. Thus, opening the door to an array of sometimes wild but, more often than not, unforgettable adventures.
