Known as Twitter's very own poet laureate, Brian Bilston has some 400,000 followers. Little about him is in the public domain, apart from snippets to be garnered from social media, such as his preference for tank tops.
The author of two collected volumes of work 'You Took The Last Bus Home' (2016) and 'Alexa' (2021), Bilston’s debut novel made it onto the shortlist in 2019 for a Costa Award. 'Refugees' a much-acclaimed poem, was subsequently transformed into a children's book.
Henry Normal is the co-creator and writer of award-winning TV shows, notably 'Mrs Merton'. He also produced the movie 'Philomena', an Oscar nominee. He has now reverted to literature by releasing his first collection, 'Staring Directly at the Eclipse', in more than 20 years.
As described by Bilston and Normal, this event is to be:
“…simply a couple of people performing a few poems”.
These will include both verses from their back Catalogues as well as some new material.
Tickets cost £24.75 inclusive of a transaction fee. Printing services can be a valuable asset for those involved in the promotion of an artistic or literary event.
Brian Bilston and Henry Normal's poetry reading has a starting time of 7.30pm on Tuesday, 5 March at the Town Hall, Oxford.Get a Free Quote for Catalogues
