New manager appointed to local tourist attraction

One of the most popular attractions for tourists in Oxford has announced the appointment of its new general manager, as it prepares to mark its 10-year anniversary next year.

Oxford Castle Unlocked has recruited Lauren Rhodes to the position, and she has made a flying start to her new job, having already secured membership of the Executive Committee for the Oxford Museums Council.

Ms. Rhodes previously worked at Historic Royal Palaces, as the team leader for visitor services, and this role saw her gain a wealth of experience in the tourism industry.

Speaking to the Oxford Mail, she stated that it was a particularly exciting moment to have taken this job, with the anniversary celebrations due to happen during 2016. She added:

“So many important moments have happened at the castle spanning 1,000 years of local and national history, and I am honoured to be working to share this fascinating story with our guests.”

Local tourist attractions such as this one frequently make use of places supplying catalogue printing in Oxford, to provide them with glossy Catalogues showcasing what they have to offer.

Situated within the heart of the city, Oxford Castle Unlocked is a castle dating back 1,000 years. For 800 of them it was used as a prison, but these days visitors can enjoy tours conducted by costumed characters, detailing the history and tales behind the buildings within it.
