A careers fair was recently held at Bicester Village shopping outlet in Oxfordshire to give local jobseekers the chance to find out more about building a career in retail.
The event was held at John Paul Centre II in Bicester on Tuesday evening. Those from the area who were interested in customer service and retail positions were encouraged to attend and many came prepared with Copies of their CV to give out to retailers at the fair.
Jobs and careers fairs like this often call for a significant amount of printed material to be produced by local printing companies. Oxford, along with Bicester and the surrounding areas, is home to many firms that work with local employers to produce leaflets and Posters using digital printing. The products can then be handed out to potential candidates at fairs.
The Bicester Village jobs fair was held in conjunction with recruitment agency 24 Seven, which is committed to connecting top brands with top talent.
The event was considered by many to be a big success, as it attracted a large number of people, many of whom were particularly interested in working for high-end fashion and retail brands. Bicester Village is home to brands like Gucci, Church's Shoes, Kate Spade and Bose, so there was plenty of scope for luxury brand fans to indulge their interests whilst gaining valuable experience.
In the current economic climate, jobs are often few and far between and events like this are becoming more popular.
