A show that reinterprets a beloved family classic as a mix of acrobatic circus and pantomime performances will be coming to Leeds later this year to help banish any winter blues.
It has been given the name ‘Cirque Wicked Wizard of Oz’ and it is the latest creation from the company that gave us ‘Elf the Musical’. The show is being described as a combination of pantomime and circus skills and it features most of the characters and storyline from the Wizard of Oz. The action takes place within the Emerald Circus and Dorothy is joined by everyone from the Scarecrow to the Cowardly Lion.
Over the course of the evening, audiences will be treated to high-flying acrobatic routines, songs and slapstick comedy. This mix is said to make it the ideal tonic for anyone feeling blue post-Christmas.
The venue for the performance in Leeds is set to be the First Direct Arena. Tickets for it are sure to sell well, but local venues still sometimes choose to advertise their upcoming shows with giveaway Promotional Products from shops in the city.
The announcement that this show is coming to town is one that will likely excite people. They will have to wait a while before they get to see what all the fuss is about - it will play Leeds on 30, December 2025.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products
