New nightspot in Leeds set for November launch
A restaurant and cocktail bar being built in the Leeds Grand Arcade is set to open for business next month, following an injection of cash to the tune of £1 million.
The nightspot, which will be called Manahatta, measures 9,000 sq ft and draws inspiration from the bars and high-class eateries found in the Big Apple, complete with ‘chic and classy’ two-storey bar design.
The Manahatta bar is being constructed on the site which was formerly home to the Gatecrasher nightclub, in the Northern Quarter of Leeds. The menu for the restaurant will feature dishes created by celebrated local culinary whiz Anthony Flynn and influenced by the gastronomical scene in New York.
With its designs, foods and range of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails, Manahatta seems likely to be popular with local residents. It will be able to make use of full-colour printing in Leeds for eye-catching launch posters to get people talking about it.
The venue is owned by Arc Inspirations and the company’s managing director, Martin Wolstencroft, said:
It will be the 12th Arc Inspirations venue in the Yorkshire area, when it opens on 8th November.
