New block of offices to be built in Leeds

A new block made up of office space will be built in Leeds as the second part of the ambitious redevelopment at Aire Park, after Leeds City Council gave it the green light.

Plans for the block were approved at a recent meeting, and it is set to be seven storeys in height and feature combined office space totalling 75,000 sq ft. In addition to that, there will also be close to 7,000 sq ft on the bottom floor of the building that is being set aside for occupation by food and drink outlets, shops and other types of businesses.

The chosen location for the block is at the corner of Hunslet Road and Waterloo Street, which will place it at the entrance of Aire Park for people travelling there by train from the centre of Leeds.

Any companies that move into the block when it has been built will find that there are local shops that can provide items they need, such as Corporate Gifts for use in wooing new clients.

Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Simon Schofield from real estate developer Vastint UK said:

“This exciting design will help re-create the historic route of the Hunslet Road, whilst providing state of the art office and retail space in the very heart of Leeds.”

A start date is still to be announced.
