Leeds-based fans of geek culture, from Star Wars to superhero movies, are in for a treat next year, as a major Comic Con hits the city.
The Leeds Comic Con 2020 is set to feature a range of different events to delight any geek living in the city, including special celebrity guests and a host of stalls selling memorabilia. As with other conventions of this sort, there will also be cosplay, where those attending are encouraged to come along dressed up as a comic book or sci-fi character of their choice. Those who create the most impressive costumes will have the chance to win prizes.
Guest speakers at the event are likely to include stars from these movie and television franchises, although the line-up has not yet been announced. There will also be props on display, in addition to video games and presentations.
The venue for Leeds Comic Con 2020 will be the Royal Armouries Museum, in Armouries Drive, and those organising events of this sort often make use of brochure printing shops based in the local area to provide them with glossy programmes detailing what is on offer.
