Leeds is once again set to usher in autumn by illuminating the city with the confirmation that Light Night Leeds will be returning.
This popular event features art that is projected onto buildings, transforming the city into a magical place. Light Night Leeds 2025 has been given the theme ‘Landmarks’ and it will honour many of the public spaces and historic buildings that are scattered throughout the city. Renowned artists from across the globe have been commissioned to come up with artworks that fit the theme and that can be used to decorate the chosen locations.
In addition to marking out notable city landmarks, the theme will also have a more personal point. Residents of Leeds are being asked to think about which parts of the city hold landmark status for them as individuals.
Events of this kind can be significant tourist attractions, if they are promoted properly. Flyer printing by Leeds shops is one good way to spread the word about upcoming events.
Among the promised Light Night displays will be a piece called ‘One Second Lovestory’ that will be projected onto the Queen’s Hotel. This depicts a romantic gaze between two strangers at a railway station.
There will also be many other artworks, alongside artistic displays of light. Artists participating are both international and local.
It will be held on 23rd and 24th October.
