Leeds entrepreneur has big plans in challenging times
A Leeds-based businessman is making ambitious plans despite the pandemic.
Chris Tinson is building on an idea he had during lockdown and a result of his children being bored at home. He believes that the visual entertainment he provided for them could be successful on the national stage.
Tinson recognised that going to the cinema was not an option because of COVID-19 prevention rules. Instead, he put up a large screen at home as an alternative to the television.
He then considered whether the idea had wider potential, and tells the Yorkshire Evening Post:
Social media has been central to the rise in the popularity of the new service, through which interest has been generated on a countrywide basis. Additionally, business cards are useful for entrepreneurs, especially if they are engaged in start-up activity.
Tinson says bookings have been buoyant, partly because of the affordability of the deal, and he is monitoring the demand for his service. If sufficient enthusiasm is demonstrated, he will move forward to establish a franchise based on what was once an improvised family solution.

“It then occurred to me that there must be a demand for families like my own that are unable to go out and don’t have the space or luxury of having a cinema room but want to experience their own Everyman.”
