Teenager raises thousands charitable cause
Although aged just 14, Jess Ridge has already raised nearly £45,000 for charity and she intends to continue her efforts.
An experienced fundraiser, she has been collecting money for various causes since 2009. She has even managed to establish her own organisation, which is known as A Touch of Magic.
A pupil of Purbook Park School, she has had to balance schoolwork with her charitable activities. In the past, she has helped Southampton Hospital, Naomi House Children’s Hospice, and the Make a Wish Foundation. She has recently expressed the intention to raise resources for Hannah’s Holiday Home – a charity that was set up after a local child died of Hodgkin’s disease.
Jess has been appointed head girl at Showstoppers Stage School. The principal, Caroline Casey, is keen for her pupil to raise funds for charity in combination with the school, and using full colour printing in Southampton (Hedge End) could help them when getting attention for future events.
