Southampton to hear cinematic sounds of John Williams
A special concert celebrating the sounds of an acclaimed composer known for his cinema soundtracks will be held in Southampton this spring.
From Botley Green to Hedge End, Southampton music and movie fans will soon be able to enjoy the scores of master composer John Williams performed live in concert. An upcoming performance by the London Concert Orchestra, conducted by Anthony Inglis, will bring the award-winning music of the maestro to audience members from all over the city.
Local venues hosting indoor and outdoor musical performances will sometimes use banner printing services to create impressive signage for such events.
Williams celebrated his 90th birthday this year and shows no sign of slowing down. It was recently confirmed that not only will the composer be scoring Indiana Jones’s fifth adventure, but he will also be creating a soundtrack for the new limited Obi Wan Kenobi Series on the Disney Plus streaming service due for release this May.
The upcoming concert will feature a host of iconic themes from Williams including E.T., Superman, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jurassic Park and the Star Wars Saga.
The Best of John Williams concert will be performed at the Mayflower Theatre located at 22 to 26 Commercial Road in Southampton on Sunday, May 29. The programme will begin at 5 pm and end at 7.30 pm.
