Hedge End to hear classic country
A theatre in Hedge End, Southampton is soon set to celebrate an iconic country music star from Tennessee.
Fans of country and western and country pop in Southampton’s Hedge End are in for a treat this autumn. The area’s Berry Theatre has announced that this September, it will be presenting “The Dolly Show” starring Kelly O’Brien as the legendary country star Dolly Parton.
From theatres to concert halls, local venues in South England often rely on specialist print shops for advertising materials to promote the shows they host.
Regarded as one of the leading Dolly Parton impersonators of her time, West End star O’Brien has won over critics time and again. Featured in the Daily Mail and Times, she has also appeared on Sky, ITV, BBC One and Channel 5.
Describing her performance in a five-star review, bi-monthly entertainment magazine Time Out commented:
The upcoming show in Southampton will include lively numbers from the country great like “Baby I’m Burning”, “9 to 5” and the Kenny Rogers collaboration “Islands in the Stream”. However, power ballads like “I will Always Love You”, “Coat of Many Colours” and the 1973 hit single “Jolene” will also feature.
On Friday, September 20, The Dolly Show will be performed on stage at the Berry Theatre at 7.30 pm. The venue is situated on Wildern Lane in Hedge End.
