Hedge End music fans to enjoy punk pioneers

Southampton is set to welcome a seminal band from London’s punk scene that enjoyed lasting success in the 80s.

Music lovers from Hedge End and other parts of Southampton will soon get a chance to see living legends “The Damned” in concert this coming spring. For one night only, the acclaimed band will take to the stage of the city’s O2 Guildhall featuring its original line-up. As a result, those attending the concert can see David Vanian, Monty Oxymoron, Captain Sensible, Will Glanville-Taylor and Paul Gray grace the stage, playing both classic tracks and all-new material from their latest recording.

Released in 2022, ‘Night Of A Thousand Vampires’ is not just a studio album, but a film as well. Companies promoting cinematic releases are well-known for using professional poster printing services to produce perfectly pitched advertisements to potential audiences.

The film and album derive from a 2019 performance by the Damned at the London Palladium that offered a theatrical and musical experience for fans. Those attending the upcoming show will get a chance to hear a set list of classics, potentially including “Eloise”, “Smash it Up” and “New Rose”.

The Damned will perform live at the O2 Guildhall located on West Marlands Road in Southampton on Tuesday, April 18. The show will start at 7 pm with a performance from The Nightingales in support and run until 11 pm.
