Animal charity The People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) and the local council in Wrexham are planning a dog show this weekend to help raise money for the charity. The dog show is due to be held in Bellevue Park tomorrow, July 7, and local authorities have been working with the PDSA to promote the show. This included the production of a seven-foot long advertising banner .
Wrexham park railings were the location chosen to host the banner and this was installed last Sunday but, soon after, the banner went missing. This news comes hot on the heels of a similar story from parents and teachers connected with Eastfield School in St Ives, near Cambridge, who were also left bemused last week, when a banner promoting their summer fete was snatched.

“The dog show raises vital funds for sick and injured animals. I would urge anybody who has taken the banner to listen to their conscience and give it back, because it means a lot to us to advertise this event."
The charity dog show event is still set to go ahead as part of the Offa carnival at Wrexham's Bellevue Park.
