These headquarters will be located within the Bourn Quarter Business Park and are set to span 7,500 square metres. They will contain an auditorium with seating for 200 people, as well as multiple workshops and labs, and have been described by Mike Beadman, CDP founding partner, as proof of the success enjoyed by the organisation since it was launched 25 years ago.
CDP develops cutting-edge new tech solutions for firms within the industrial, healthcare and consumer sectors, and moving to the park will put it at the heart of the Cambridge business community. Companies based in this park have the option of getting regular supplies of Business Cards and other printed materials from shops in the same city.
Speaking to the Cambridge Independent, Beadman pointed out that the headcount for the CDP had doubled during the past year, before going on to say:
“Our new headquarters will be more than twice the size of our current base, with a range of product and technology development facilities to compare with any in the world.”
Aitchison Developments is the contractor building the new headquarters, with work on them starting back in May. CDP is scheduled to move into them at some point in 2022.
