Mr Harvey is 28 and has graduated from Clare Hall. He has attended a community church for a period of two years now, and his trek took him into the Grand Canyon in America.
It has been reported that the journey was made more strenuous by the fact that the temperature was over 40 degrees centigrade at times. Nonetheless, Mr Harvey has confirmed that he enjoyed the experience, and his efforts raised almost £3,000 to go towards his chosen cause.
If those responsible for the Cambridge Community Church want to raise more money, they could opt to use a Print company in Cambridge to generate publicity for a campaign. As a new structure is being erected for the church, more revenue might still be required to meet expenses.
The new building is to be located on a site close to a supermarket on a roundabout at Coldham Lane. The church, when finished, will be aspiring to address the needs of people from Barnwell and Romsey.
Mr Harvey has told Cambridge News:
"The work on the building is continuing apace, with the framework of the structure now going up, and it should be finished and opening its doors for a welcome event about this time next year."
