Women's night out to help fight cancer
The 3rd annual Hope and the City will take place at the Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham on October 25 beginning at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $50 per person or $1,200 for a table of 10 at this age 19 and over event.
Everyone will receive a goody bag and a ticket for a free beverage. Proceeds will go to the Canadian Cancer Society for women's cancer research.
All those who enter the event will walk the pink carpet. There will be plenty of shopping opportunities inside, as well as food, door prizes, an auction, live entertainment, fun activities, and several pampering stations, offering manicures, reflexology, and massages for a fee. Those who register before September 28 will receive free access to one pampering station.
Vendors will be offering items such as clothing, home decor ,and gifts for sale. Since this event occurs close to the holiday season, it might be a good chance to pick up the perfect gift for a friend or loved one. Local businesses will be doing their part for the cause by donating items for the auction and the grand prize.
Organizers no doubt be working with Vaughan area printing companies to help prepare for this worthwhile event. Flyers will probably be distributed throughout the community to make residents aware it is happening, either via door-to-door delivery or by being handed out on the streets.
For more information on the event, and in particular the pampering station, call 905-709-4978.
