Vaughan class crafts cuddly sheep

Needle felting can be used to craft some cuddly and cute projects, and a Vaughan class will introduce these practices.

Cathy Disbrow, who is an local fibre artist, will be teaching needle felting techniques in a hands-on workshop that will craft needle-felted sheep. The attendees will work with a special barbed needle, unspun wool and other materials, and it is designed to be a good project for the beginner.

The wool used during the activity will be sourced from the venue’s own sheep, and all of the materials, including the wool, felting needles and curly wool locks, will be provided. While foam felting pads will also be supplied, these can be purchased separately by anyone who would like to keep on felting at home. The ticket price, which is $75.00 each, includes admission to the venue, and so the participants will be able to visit the sheep in person should they wish.

A crafting class may provide a lot of information in a small amount of time, and facilitators may choose to have handouts prepared so the participants can learn even more. A printing services company can help produce such materials.

The Needle Felt a Curly Sheep Workshop will begin at 1:00 pm on May 30th. The location for the activity will be 1000 Murray Ross Parkway in North York, Vaughan. The activity will run for three hours.
