Vaughan class explores history of candle making

Candle making used to be an essential household art, and a Vaughan event will teach how the process has changed throughout the years.

The Village at Black Creek gives members of the public a chance to take a step back in time, and it will be offering a candle making workshop in early September. The session will be repeated on November 7th, and both will take place in the afternoon.

The facilitator will walk the participants through an exploration of candle making techniques, including the materials used and how they have changed over time. Each attendee will get hands-on experience using different wicks, containers and waxes, and when they head for home, everyone will take two hand-poured candles, as well as three wax accessories, along with them. The registration fee for the activity is $75.00 each, and this also covers admission to the Village at Black Creek.

A crafting workshop helps those who are interested in a new hobby to get started. Sheets of instructions and tips, and other take printed materials for a class like this can be prepared by Stationery printers.

The Village at Black Creek’s Candles and Wax Accessories Class will be held on September 7th and November 7th. Both will start at 2:00 pm, and the registration process needs to be completed in advance.
