Woman on Fire Summit looks for 2020 date

A planned summit focused on encouraging women to overcome their fear and limitations will take place in Vaughan this year, albeit later than originally planned.

Woman on Fire is a motivational conference that aims to enable personal growth and ambition. Featured speakers include best-selling author Gabby Bernstein, documentary filmmaker and entrepreneur Sandra Chuma, and Love Powered Co., a pair of friends who promote mindfulness and confidence.

There will also be panel discussions on key topics, featuring speakers like Adeela Carter, Jaclyn Genovese and Lily Yange, light meals, and live entertainment. In their mission statement, organizers stressed the inclusive message of the event:

“This is an event for any woman who is committed to achieving her dreams, and is ready to invest in herself. We’ve created a safe, inclusive, judgment-free space where women of all colours and backgrounds come together to explore the MORE they were meant for.”

The conference also advertises itself as an opportunity to network with women from diverse professions and ways of life. Networking events like this, ranging from conferences to after-work mixers, can contain an exchange of business cards or promotional pens that later leads to a major opportunity.

The Woman on Fire Summit was initially set for April 5 at the Hazelton Manor in Vaughan. Due to public health concerns, the conference has been delayed, but organizers have said they will be looking to hold the event before the end of the year.
