Weekly art and music event will run all summer

ArtBeat is taking place weekly in Kleinburg Village from July until the end of August.

The event, which is held on Islington Avenue each Thursday evening, features music provided by Arcadia Academy of Music instructors and displays of arts and crafts presented by the Facade Academy of the Arts. It will be a good opportunity for locals to get their work known and to possibly get some commissions from visitors to the festival. It is also a way for residents to enjoy the downtown area in a relaxed and festive manner.

Local stores and restaurants will also be open, and many of them may provide special deals on Thursday nights.

Organizers of the event are still looking for volunteers to help with each weekly installment. Forms are available on the official Kleinburg Village website.

Those who put together the art displays might decide that the booths need to be decorated in order to attract more visitors. This may involve investing in services from Vaughan area printing companies. A colorful banner, sign, or poster can make a booth more attractive to passers-by, and cause more people to stop and look at the artwork inside.

ArtBeat takes place each Thursday night until August 28th, from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. To find out more about this weekly event or to volunteer to help, call 905-660-6655 x408.
