Vaughan to host gardening event

A seed exchange can be a great way for gardening enthusiasts to expand their collection of plants, and the Vaughan area is set to hold one next month.

Attendees at the upcoming ‘Beeton Seedy Saturday’ seed swap and education day will find that it is about a lot more than just getting a jump start on the growing season. It is an opportunity for people of all ages to develop their knowledge and passion for gardening.

The Beeton Horticultural Society and the Beeton Seed Library have partnered with the D.A. Jones Branch of the library to host this event. Participants can get to know their fellow green thumbs, and while they do, they can share tips and tricks for keeping their gardens in top shape. They can also swap seeds and meet with horticultural experts. Healthy eating and sustainable living will also be on the agenda, and it can be a perfect way to get the upcoming growing season off to a great start.

An event like this can draw a large crowd, and print shops can supply signs, banners and other materials that can help to keep it organized. The event is free to attend and is scheduled to start at 10:00am, and the doors will remain open until 3:00pm.

Beeton Seedy Saturday will be returning to New Tecumseth on March 23rd.
