Vaughan to celebrate Canadas 149th birthday

Vaughan will be celebrating Canada Day with a party featuring music, entertainment and more.

To mark the country’s 149th birthday, a free celebration will take place at Mackenzie Glen District Park. Both local and national talent will be featured, with Shawn Desman acting as the headliner for the show.

On the day, there will be face painting, inflatables and other activities for the kids to take part in. Food will be available for purchase, and the site, including washrooms and walkways, are accessible to those who have limited mobility. Wide format printing can be put to use in creating banners and other decorations to be used during large outdoor events such as this.

Some options will be put in place for those who would like to leave their car at home. A free shuttle service will be available from Vaughan City Hall and St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School, with free parking at both these sites. Those who would rather drive can park free of charge at Holy Jubilee CES or Mackenzie Glen PS, which will put them within walking distance of the celebration.

The fun will begin at 3:00 pm on Canada Day itself - July 1. Those who would like to obtain further details are invited to visit the event’s website for a full schedule and more information.
