Vaughan gala event set to continue fundraising trend

A fundraising event in Vaughan is set to be a fun-filled night for all with Dina Pugliese and Kevin Frankish from CITY-T's Breakfast Television confirmed as hosts.

The A Cure for the Future Retro Gala is one of many events put on by the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation every year. The organization raises over $70 million annually for the hospital to help fund research, medical equipment, teaching programs and patient care. The Princess Margaret Hospital is the leading cancer research hospital in Canada.

The evening will feature martini and antipasto bars, a sit-down dinner, an open bar, a live auction, raffle draws, a silent auction, and a DJ. In the past six years, A Cure for the Future Retro Galas have raised over $350,000 for the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) Foundation. It is expected to be a fun-packed evening for everyone and the fact that the ticket price helps to fund cancer research will make it even more special.

Vaughan businesses will be donating items to both the live and silent auctions. Businesses might also be working with local printing companies to create flyers informing their customers of this upcoming fundraising event and to let them know of the donated items on offer.

The 7th annual A Cure for the Future Retro Gala will take place at Bellvue Manor in Vaughan on February 16. Tickets are $125 per person and proceeds benefit the PMH Foundation. For more information, such as times of the event, call 905-738-3550.
