What's Happening in Vaughan, ON…

Vaughan clinic will help to keep pets safe

Vaughan Animal Services will be hosting an event that will give people from the area an opportunity to do something that can help to keep their pet safe and healthy.

The shelter will be holding a rabies vaccination and microchip clinic. Dogs and cats are welcome, and those who bring their pet can also have it registered. The vaccine will protect the animal if it is exposed to the rabies virus, which can keep it healthy and prevent the possibility of it being able to transmit the disease to their owner or other animals. Microchipping makes it much easier for a lost or stray cat or dog to make its way home. Poster printing can provide an effective way to promote an event like this throughout the local area.

The cost for the vaccine is $20, which includes the tag and certificate, while the microchip implant and registration are $25. A City of Vaughan License can be purchased for $20, but proof of rabies vaccination is required for every dog or cat to be licensed. Credit and debit cards will be accepted forms of payment, but cash will not.

The clinic will be held on December 14 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Vaughan Animal Services, which is located at 70 Tigi Court, Unit 47 in Vaughan. Appointments can be booked by calling 905-832-2281.
