McMichael Canadian Art Collection: Canadian art in Vaughan
The McMichael Canadian Art Collection is located in Kleinburg, Ontario, a village which is now part of the city of Vaughan. The collection consists of over 5,000 works of art with an emphasis on Canadian art. This painting was the start of the biggest Group of Seven collection in the world. In 1965, the McMichael’s donated their land and home to the Province of Ontario and it officially opened to the public in July of the next year.
