Handmade holiday gifts come to Vaughan
The ‘Vaughan of a Kind Art and Craft Show’, presented by the City of Vaughan’s Recreation and Culture Department, comes to the city next month and artists from Vaughan and Greater Toronto Area will showcase their original and handmade items.
As long as they are handmade, all arts and crafts are accepted into the show, including jewelry, prints, toys, food items, and furniture. Artists have until October 26 to apply for the show and booth rental is $70. Vendors taking part in the Vaughan of a Kind Art and Craft Show will probably be working with local printing companies to prepare. Banner printing services would provide a banner that would draw attention to a booth. Postcard printing services, meanwhile, would give them an item to hand out to interested parties. Many artists use a postcard as a larger format business card, which features a sample of their work combined with contact information.
This show will be a good opportunity not only to find the perfect, unique holiday gift for a friend or family member but for the community to discover a new artist. There will be the chance to not only see and buy the items but to talk to the artists and to discover their techniques. It will also be good for the artists to become known and to possibly earn new commissions for the future.
