Expo planned with Vaughan seniors in mind

Older adults in Vaughan may wish to reserve space in their agenda for a fall event that will be on offer just for them.

Those who come to the ‘Senior’s Expo + 50’ will enjoy an experience that will be both educational as well as entertaining. It was noted that the goal is to help people who are age 50 and older adapt to the sometimes complex changes that can come about as one ages.

A wide variety of service providers will be on hand for the occasion, and guests will have a chance to meet and talk with them face-to-face. Many of these professionals will be experts in their field, and the attendees will be able to walk away from the expo as informed consumers. In addition to this, there will be opportunities for the public to learn more about what sorts of services and other supports exist in the community, and how they can be accessed.

While part of the focus of the event will be healthy living, it will also highlight ways an older adult can remain active and have fun doing so. Travel agency representatives will be on site, and there will also be a vendor area with at least 50 businesses participating. A local printer can be called upon to supply them with Business Cards to distribute during this sort of function.

This special event will be taking place on September 30. It will be held at 9600 Bathurst Street, and the door will open at 10:00 am.
