Expanded Winterfest to return to Vaughan
The City of Vaughan will be hosting its annual Winterfest celebration this February, and this year, for the first time, the festival will be extended to two days.
As in past years, the festival will feature on-stage entertainment and activities designed to celebrate the winter months. The first day will be outdoor only, while the second will also feature an indoor component. Activities at past editions have included ice skating, horse-drawn carriages, and midway rides. The event will also include a marketplace area with booths for vendors, food sellers, and non-profit organizations from the local community, which are selected through an online application process. Vendors at festivals like this often offer unique deals and promotional products to help celebrate the occasion and win over new customers.
Athletic and recreational organizations often use this event to sign up interested people for programs in the winter and spring months. This will be the 35th edition of Winterfest, with the celebration typically drawing thousands of people to the streets of downtown Vaughan. The festival has won numerous awards, including being recognized in Festival & Events Ontario’s top 100 on several occasions. Admission is free to all attendees, with shuttle buses available to and from the festival.
The 2025 edition of Winterfest will take place on February 1 and 2 at Vellore Village Community Centre in Vaughan.
