Comedian to visit Vaughan area
Acclaimed stand-up comedian Tig Notaro will be visiting Ontario this winter for two Toronto shows.
Notaro has become noted for her style of stand-up comedy, which deals with serious personal subject matter, such as her previous struggles with cancer, in a sardonic and humorous way. She will be performing new material on the tour, following up on her recent stand-up special “Drawn”, which combined animation and live performance.
The comedian is also experiencing a rise in attention as a result of her appearance in the 2021 movie Army of the Dead. In a note about the show, Notaro stressed her commitment to COVID-19 safety while returning to touring:
The Toronto date is part of the “Hello Again” tour, Notaro’s first in almost two years. It will be Notaro’s only stop in Eastern Canada during the tour, although she will also make appearances in Vancouver and Victoria.
Due to the anticipated interest from alternative comedy fans in Toronto and surrounding areas like Vaughan and Hamilton, Notaro will be performing two shows in Toronto on one night, starting at 6:30 PM and 9:30 PM. Stand-up comedy shows such as this raise awareness through everything from flyer printing to podcast appearances.
Tig Notaro will perform twice at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto on January 14.

“Check with each venue and with my website before plans to attend any show. Most importantly — PLEASE stay safe and healthy so we can meet in the flesh. Every bit of love in the world to you, Tig.”
