A few industry experts recommend increasing the number of printing services and becoming a ‘one stop Print shop’ to conveniently meet client and business needs. An associate of a successful printing company that services businesses in Mississauga and Toronto businesses made the recommendation at his Print World management seminar earlier this month.
Becoming a one stop shop may be difficult and time-consuming, but it continues to be something that businesses expect in a printing services company, and thus necessary to the future viability of printers.
In the seminar, the speaker examined a few ways in which local printing companies could work towards becoming a one stop shop. Some suggestions included providing finishing and art services, and offering newer services related to printing, like printing on demand and direct marketing services. He also highlighted the hidden benefits of contributing to charity work, taking on environmental initiatives, and implementing software developments.
Successful printers need to establish a commitment to doing the highest quality work and having tangible results to prove this. Canadian Print is known for its high quality, leading to the possibility of winning awards and competitions in the US. This is particularly beneficial for printers in the Mississauga and Toronto areas that work closely with American or international businesses. Alliances with local businesses can also be useful as well, especially when implementing online solutions and supporting charity initiatives.
Print World 2012 was held in Toronto from November 17 – 19 and showcased some of the leaders in the industry throughout North America, as well as some of the latest innovations.
