Mississauga will soon be home to three new condominium buildings.
The structures will be located at the southwest corner of Erin Drive West and Hurontario Street. The plans are for them to be 50, 40 and 35 storeys tall, and to have easy access to the light rail transit that will be built in the future along Hurontario Street. Wide format printing can be used to create Banners and other signage that promotes the lease or sale of units within newly built developments such as these.
In return for granting permission for the construction project, the city will receive $3,020,000 in benefits through Section 37, and also a small park. According to city councilor Nando Lannicca, the agreement came about after three years of negotiations, and the council hopes it will mark the start of a bright future for the area.
Included in the development proposals are a daycare, office and retail spaces, and a small park. This high-density style of housing fits into the province’s plan to ensure that the area along transit corridors will have enough population to support this service.
For every building permit that is issues, the city will be given $1m from the applicant. This can be either in the form of monies or benefits, such as the development of a park or other feature that benefits the community.
