Mississauga has proven to be a beacon for cultural celebrations, and this summer will see a festival that is sure to be a fun time for all.
Bollywood Monster Mashup will be celebrating its fourth anniversary in style. What started out as a simple stage show has grown to be so much more; last year, it attracted over 25,000 people, and this year it is expected to be even bigger.
Held in Celebration Square, this is Canada’s Largest South Asian festival. It will take place from August 22nd until August 29th, and will feature a good mix of local and international artists. The Bollywood Dragon Orchestra will be performing, as will Dandiya in the Square, Devine Heritage Artistry, Destiny, Shawn Bhela, and many others.
The festival will have something for all ages. There will be a kid’s zone for the youngsters, as well as food vendors who will provide a chance to sample food from all over. Shopaholics will enjoy browsing the marketplace, while film buffs will be sure to head to the movie screenings.
